Breast Cancer Awareness + Giveaway Winner

Today is the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!  I'm sure you've already been seeing pink everywhere (even food packaging is pink.....even when they won't be donating any proceeds to charity, those unethical marketing departments have caught on quick - watch for it.  If it doesn't say that a portion of the proceeds, etc., will go to a legitimate Foundation, etc. - please don't buy it.)

This is the month to set an appointment and see your doctor.  Don't forget to do your "self-exams" (does anyone else hate these?  I really don't want to do it, so I make The Mr. do it.  Of course, he has other things on his mind so I seriously doubt it counts, but it's better than nothing right?)  But seriously, I think my Dad is the one who noticed my Mom's lump, so there you go!  Early detection is key to surviving most Breast Cancers.  I don't think anyone can get that message across well enough.  It isn't just about saving the "ta-ta's" (anyone else hate that slogan?) it's about saving lives.

On a fashion related note, Forever 21 is donating a portion of the sales from certain items to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  I love to get as much for my money as I can (long time readers may have already realized this) so if I was going to buy something anyway, plus it benefits a charity??  Yes please.

You can find these Forever 21 items here.

Now, for the winner of the 100 free postcards from Uprinting.com:

Congratulations, Angel!!  Check your email :)

My doctor said you should start getting mammograms 10 years younger than the age it occurred in other family members. That means I am supposed to start this year. :(

There are some many different opinions and advice, so my advice is to just go see your doctor. Go with what they say. It can't hurt, right?

I could just have them take it all now and then have replacement surgery. Then I could fix the problem having babies created! hahahahahaha Okay, maybe it really isn't a laughing matter.
