I was so excited when eShakti contacted me about reviewing one of their customizable dresses.  Even before I had children, my DNA provided me with everything but the standard pattern proportions. The website offers a comprehensive guide to taking accurate measurements, and their customer service team is always quick to respond when you have any questions or need clarification.  Not only will they custom make a dress or skirt to fit your proportions, but you can also add/remove sleeves, hemlines, etc.  In fact, I'm not sure there isn't anything they won't do for you.

If The Glove Fits......

What are your thoughts on gloves?  I'm partial to brightly colored kid leather gloves that fit like a......glove.  That analogy doesn't really work, does it?

Our neighbors parked their vintage truck on the street (the same weekend they got "flocked") and so I took the opportunity to use it as a backdrop.

Anybody else think this is the truck they should have casted for the Twilight movie?  Haha.  I read the books, but I can't really say I'm a fan (though I will admit, I was there for that midnight showing of the last movie - the atmosphere was fun and there was quite a bit of laughing; fun experience, okay movie.)

On another note, I love this jacket.  It's the perfect mix of trendy 80s, geek chic, old school professor, with a tiny hint of Ralph Lauren's equestrian aesthetic.  LOVE!

Betrayal

I'm in Texas visiting family and friends, and feeling a bit betrayed by the weather.  What started as a balmy 70 degrees has quickly become a wet 40 (though I appreciate the need for rain here.)  I think I will go drown (or eat away) my sorrows with a trip to In-N-Out Burger (thank you, Dallas!)

It seems odd to be seeing Christmas decorations when it's a balmy 70 degrees Fahrenheit, but I will take the warm Texas weather any day!

Plaid on Plaid

I have mixed feelings about plaid.  I love plaid.  Unfortunately, it also reminds me of a shirt I owned in the 80s (that I wouldn't wear again, even if I still had it.)  But I won't let that stop me today:
