I Love You, But......
I just can't remain faithful when others are selling the same thing for a quarter of the price. Wait, don't take that the wrong way. I'm talking retail fashion here, people. Sure, it's lesser quality, but it looks the same, performs the same function and honestly? I will be done wearing it by the time it's lifespan has run its' course. I'm a huge advocate of spending good money on quality items, but only if those said items are something you will wear/use for years to come. If it's something trendy and I'm only going to wear it for the season? I don't mind buying the cheap version. Assuming there is a cheap version.
Behold:
Belt: JCrew $60 - 1/2" wide, Italian Calf Hair
Belt: Target (Mossimo) $17, 11/16" wide (just under 3/4"), Totally Fake Fiber That Looks Like Animal Hair Which Means No Animals Were Harmed (in case you were worried about this.)
Granted, compared side by side, you can see the obvious difference in quality. Wrapped around my waist (unless you like to inspect people's belts up close,) all you will see is the perfect leopard print accent.
So, if you were wanting a skinny(ier) leopard print belt for the fall (or right now,) here are two choices (Target isn't the only place I've seen cheap versions of these) to try!
p.s. I use the term "version" because I don't think this is a "knock-off". First, how can you knock-off something when Target had this one at least a month before JCrew's new fall line came out? Second, a leopard print belt is hardly a new or original idea; when haven't there been leopard print belts available? Third, it's always nice to have the fake-fur option for those who try to avoid the real thing (or don't want to pay the price.)

Right there with ya! I purchased same Target belt and you know what...it looks almost exactly like the Jcrew. :) xx-Jackie
I bought mine more than a month ago and I love it!
I do it too ! It's so much better. Plus, if you scratch them or God knows what , you won't feel the same "pain"

I agree with you, if it looks basically the same and costs a lot less, I will not scoff at that. Especially because I am not currently at a place in my life where I can afford a big clothing budget.
I hear you! I'm sure the "fur" will wear off by the end of the season, but I don't foresee me wanting to wear this belt for years and years.
I hear you. Even if I had a big clothing budget, I'm a bit of a Scrooge. The more I can get out of my budget, the better (sometimes - if I blew my whole budget on a Hermes Birkin....I'd be ok with that, lol!)
I had that Target belt in my hand yesterday and I didn't buy it. Dang! I'm going to have to back there tonight. :)
Did you get it??
