LBDs, WDs, and PDs

I have been a long-time fan of dresses - anything flirty, super-feminine, and fun (or cheeky) - and I don't think any girl can ever have too many dresses.

Let me direct your attention to www.MissesDressy.com, a newly revamped website (much easier to navigate, and cleaned up) bursting at the seams with dress selections.  They offer thousands of dresses, from $100 LBDs (the little black dress) to $6400 wedding gowns.  After perusing the wedding gowns, I think it's time for The Mr and to renew our vows......

Throw in prom dresses for teenagers, showcase gowns worthy of the diabolical (or maybe delusional is the more appropriate term?) Kenya Moore, shoes that range from slippers costing $20 to fabulous heels in the $400 range, undergarments and last but not least - handbags, and you've got a (not to be cliche) one-stop-shop.

Featuring over a hundred different designers, you can find gowns from Alyce Paris, Mac Dugall, Sherri Hall and Jovani.

Where is your favorite place to shop for party dresses?

Triple P Giveaway: Shabby Apple

When I was contacted by Shabby Apple about offering you a giveaway, I waffled (what does that mean anyway?)  I've never shopped with them, so I can't give you my opinion on the quality, sizing, or what-it-really-looks-like-on-a-real-person-with-horrible-lighting  However, I asked my favorite sister (she put in a good word for them) what she thought and she was adamant that I say yes.  In fact, she was a bit pushy about it, lol!

I went to the website and fell in love with at least a dozen dresses, was filled with bitter resentment over the super-cute maternity dresses that I wish were available when I was pregnant (I was only sort of kidding about the bitter resentment.....) and saw a pair of shoes I love (and happen to already own.)  Here is a sampling of those dozen+ dresses I'm considering:

Love the peplum that was raging this past Spring (and is still going strong this summer.)  Oh, and stripes, polka dots, and yellow.

Now let's get to the good part:  Shabby Apple is offering one lucky reader a $50 gift card!

It's a Girl Thing: Recap

I know this is wildly outdated, but I'm going to post it anyway.

What I wore:
Shirt: Ralph Lauren
Necklace: Target
Dress: Nine West (see similar here.)
Bracelets: Target + Target

You know the women's shoe department is good when it looks something like this:

Dresses (oh be-still my beating heart; dresses merchandised by color.)
They had dresses brought in just for this event:
I couldn't leave without trying one on.......
Dress: no longer available
Shoes: Zara

And I had to treat myself to one of Christopher Elbow's Caramel with Fluer de Sel chocolates. I die.
I love everything about Halls.  I love that it's a department store with everything (I mean that; I dare you to find something they don't have.)  I love the way the fragrance and cosmetics department smells.  I love that they have a spa (I just found that out!)  I love that they carry Manolo Blahnik and L.K. Bennett (see shoe department.)  I love that the store associates feel like family.  I just......love Halls.
